Your Welcome Clean: A Fresh Starting Point for Recurring Service
Every new recurring client begins with a Welcome Clean. It is a longer, more detailed first visit that brings your home up to our maintenance baseline, so every visit after it can keep your home there. It is required before recurring service begins, and it is the reason your regular visits stay consistent.
Because every home is different, the time it takes depends on the condition of your home and how long it has been since your last professional cleaning. We give you an estimate when you book.
What Happens at Your Welcome Clean
- Before we arrive. We learn how you want your home cleaned: your top three priority rooms, pets, surfaces and no-go items, product sensitivities and how we get in. Every visit is then done your way.
- Top to bottom. We start high, with cobwebs, ceiling fans, light fixtures, vents and ledges, so dust falls before we clean what is below.
- Room by room. Kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, entry, hallways and stairs, laundry areas, glass and blinds each get their own detailed checklist.
- Floors last. Carpet edges and corners are tooled, hard floors are cleaned with the right product for the surface, and we work toward the door.
- Photos and a walkthrough. We photograph each room before and after, then walk through the home with you, or send a short recap with photos if you are away.
- A welcome gift. A card signed by the crew and a small finishing touch.
- A check-in. The next day we ask how your home is holding up.
What We Detail on the First Visit
- Kitchen: backsplash and cabinet fronts degreased, range hood exterior, stovetop and burners, microwave inside and out, sink and faucet descaled, appliance exteriors.
- Bathrooms: soap scum removed from shower and tub walls, grout lines scrubbed, glass doors and tracks, toilets including the base and behind it, vanities, mirrors and fans.
- Bedrooms and living areas: surfaces dusted with items lifted and replaced, baseboards, door frames, window sills and tracks, blinds, vacuuming under and behind movable furniture.
- Entry, hallways and stairs: stair treads, edges, risers, railings and spindles, door frames, light switches, spot-cleaned scuffs using paint-safe methods.
- Laundry areas: washer and dryer exteriors, utility sink, counters and shelving, floors.
What Is Not Included
Some work is outside the Welcome Clean. We are happy to quote it as an add-on before we do it: inside the oven, refrigerator or cabinets, interior or exterior window washing, wall washing beyond spot-cleaning scuffs, garage or patio areas, carpet shampooing, organizing, and heavy grout restoration. We cannot clean areas with mold, biohazard or hoarding conditions.
How to Prepare
- Clear personal items from counters and floors.
- Secure pets, or let us know about them in advance.
- Put away valuables and fragile items.
- Tell us your top three priority rooms and anything we should leave alone.
After Your Welcome Clean
Your next visits follow your recurring cleaning checklist. We do our best to send the same team each time, though call-outs, sick days and vacations sometimes mean a new team member joins your visit. Within a day we send you a written scope that shows what is done every visit, what rotates, and the priced add-ons available. If you would like a one-time deeper clean instead, see our deep cleaning service.
Welcome Clean FAQ
Why is the Welcome Clean required before recurring service?
It sets the baseline. Built-up soap scum, baseboard grime, ceiling fan dust and edge-of-carpet buildup get removed once, so every recurring visit after that can maintain the home instead of digging out from under it. That is what keeps your regular visits consistent.
How long does it take?
Longer than a regular visit. The time depends on the condition of your home and how long it has been since your last professional cleaning. We give you an estimate when you book, and if we find the home needs materially more time than expected, we contact you before doing anything beyond the estimate.
Do I need to be home?
No. Many clients are away. If you are home, we are glad to walk through with you. If you are not, we send a short recap with photos when we finish.
Will every visit be this detailed?
No. The Welcome Clean is a reset. After it, your visits follow your recurring checklist and maintain the baseline we set. If you want something extra on a regular visit, we can quote it as an add-on or put it on a rotation.
What does it cost?
The Welcome Clean is priced separately from your recurring rate, and you see both prices on your estimate before your first day. Use our instant price tool or call us for a quote.
Is the Welcome Clean a deep clean I can book on its own?
It is designed for new recurring clients. If you only want a one-time deep clean, see our deep cleaning service.
